You're responsible to do what you can do.

You’re not going to change the world alone.

So the pressure’s off. You don’t have to figure it out by yourself. You don’t have to be the one to organize the protest. You don’t have to be the one to create the post that goes viral. You don’t have to be the one to start the nonprofit. You don’t have to do all the things to change minds and hearts and policies.

If those things scare you, take a breath. They’re not your responsibility.

The people who can do those things and who are doing those things take those steps because they’ve been called to it in some way. Necessity, sometimes. Passion, sometimes. But they’re still called to it. And they step into their role. They play it.

You have to figure out what you’re called to do in all of this. Where are your skills being called to work? Where are your passions being called to work?

You’re responsible to do what you can do.

So, what can you do? What do you bring to the table?

You don’t fail when you act small. Or when you act locally. Or when you act quietly.

You fail when you don’t do what you can do.

So what can you do?
